Hello, I have been translating and reviewing translations from English to French for over 10 years. Although I have majorly translated texts in the technical and IT fields including marketing of products, as well as finance/accounting and business contracts, I have also worked on educational, NGO and ethics texts, and ECB or OECD reports (translation or proofreading). I did most of my education in France (Paris), where I studied Latin and ancient Greek (heavy stress on grammar and syntax), partly in the US (language and marketing basics) and only came to Africa in 2007. I have also some basics in sciences and economics/accounting. I am interested in many social and development issues. I held posts as an accountant chief, software instructor (over 50 different software, databases and finances, including ERPs). I have worked for 5 years in an African NGO (education/development) and am occasionally delivering seminars in private universities (communication – project management). I worked for 1 year in the French ministry of Environment. I wrote quite a bit of texts for a French blog-web site. I lived for 5 years in the US and was fully immersed in American English (business communications in English, reading and writing reports or analysis in English, training in English). I did several stays in England. I am currently working with US, French, Dutch, Italian, English, German, Indian and Egyptian translation agencies. I am fluent in both English and French and am used to work and communicate in either one. I work on a remote basis, including week-ends and holidays.
